As the North American University Young Stallions took the field under the bright lights of Stafford, they kicked off Homecoming Week in style, powering through TWU College for a 28-12 victory that had the home crowd buzzing. From big defensive plays to clutch moments on offense, this JV squad left no doubt that they're ready for the big stage, setting the tone for a week filled with Stallion pride.

The game started with a bit of a scare, as TWU College jumped to an early 12-0 lead in the first quarter. But the Young Stallions wouldn't be rattled. Quarterback Brandon Gonzales found his rhythm in the second quarter, launching a perfect 30-yard strike to Lance Matua Kellum to get NAU on the board. With the momentum shifting, Sakievon Gordwin gave the crowd another reason to roar, picking off a TWU pass and returning it 41 yards for a touchdown, giving the Stallions a 14-12 lead going into halftime.

But the true defensive hero of the night? Jordan Harper.

The sophomore defensive back was an absolute menace on the field, delivering not one, but TWO game-sealing interceptions for touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Harper's athleticism and instincts were on full display as he jumped routes like a seasoned pro, first returning a 15-yard pick to the house, and then stunning the crowd with a 47-yard interception return that had Stallions fans on their feet, roaring in approval.

His back-to-back touchdowns didn't just pad the score—they slammed the door on TWU College's comeback hopes and put a massive exclamation point on NAU's victory.
