The North American University Lady Stallions concluded their season on November 16, 2024, with a spirited performance against the University of Maine at Fort Kent. Despite their best efforts, the Lady Stallions fell 3-0 in a game that showcased Maine's cohesion and tactical precision.

The first half was a defensive battle, with neither team finding the back of the net. The Lady Stallions held their ground admirably, limiting Maine's offensive opportunities. However, the Bengals adjusted in the second half, demonstrating their chemistry with a possession-focused approach that opened up scoring chances.

Second-Half Surge

The Bengals broke the deadlock in the 57th minute when Julia Audunsdottir, assisted by Petagay Dixon, slotted one past Ava Wilson. Dixon continued her offensive dominance, adding two unassisted goals in the 62nd and 66th minutes to seal the victory for Maine-Fort Kent.

Standout Performances

Ava Wilson, the Lady Stallions' goalkeeper, was a standout, facing an onslaught of 22 shots (17 on target) and recording an impressive 14 saves. On the offensive end, Suzette Baltazar and Maria Alejan Acosta led the Stallions with three of the team's five total shots. Despite their best efforts, the team was unable to penetrate Maine's sturdy defense.

For Maine-Fort Kent, Petagay Dixon stole the show, with two goals and an assist, while Audunsdottir and Anna McLaughlin added critical contributions to their offense.
