NAU Stallions JV Basketball Showdown Recap
November 5, 2024 | Written By The DJ Wolfman on Clutch Sports

Ladies and gentlemen, stallion fans far and wide, buckle up 'cause The DJ Wolfman's bringing you the full throttle, high-flying, heart-pumping recap of Tuesday night's action at The P.A.R.C.! It was more than a game – it was a masterclass in hustle, grit, and the raw spirit of JV basketball as North American's JV Stallions squared off against the Louisiana Knights Post Grad Academy. And with 120 fans packed in shoulder-to-shoulder, this scrimmage turned into a nail-biting spectacle!

The Stallions came out of the gates blazing! Reid Daniels took the court by storm, racking up a thunderous double-double: 18 points and 11 boards, like he owned the glass. Not to mention, he laid down 6 sweet assists that had fans leaping out of their seats! Antone McNair lit it up too, drilling two clutch triples and sinking 4 free throws to keep the Stallions pushing in that first half. At the buzzer, North American had a hard-earned lead, 46-41.

But hold on to your seats 'cause this was only halftime, folks! The Knights came storming back, and what we got was some heart-stopping back-and-forth action that saw both squads throwing down shot for shot. And when the final buzzer hit, the Knights squeaked by with a tight 76-74 victory. A heartbreak for our Stallions, but no shame in this battle, folks. Coach Johnny Clark, ever the steady hand, knows it's all about the journey: "This is the time to slow the game down and immediately correct the mistakes of these student-athletes," he told us. "JV Ball has a lot of time for player development, and that starts with the coaches, backed up by the game officials and referees."

About the Louisiana Knights
The Louisiana Knights aren't just here to ball; they're here to BUILD. Coach Clark's mission goes beyond the scoreboard: "My goal is to lead these players in life, teach them about the importance of hard work and education, so when the ball stops bouncing, they have something to fall back on." The Knights' program is all about giving these athletes an extra year to grow, improve, and get that vital experience against other post-grad squads and even some college teams.

It's clear to see – games like this are what it's all about. North American's JV Stallions showed heart, hustle, and potential that's sky-high, and the Knights? They're a class act, reminding us all that the journey matters just as much as the destination. So Stallion fans, get those hooves up, give it up for our squad, and remember to keep that Stallion spirit strong!

And as always… Goooooooooo Stallionsssssssssss!!!!
