HOUSTON, TX – The North American University JV Wild Stallions defended their home turf in style Tuesday night, galloping past Strength N Motion (Black) with a 92-83 win at the PARC. It was a game of quick bursts, smooth passing, and a showcase of depth, as the Stallions flexed their full arsenal to keep their opponents at bay.
NAU wasted no time setting the tone, lighting up the scoreboard with 48 first-half points behind efficient shooting and crisp ball movement. While Strength N Motion attempted to rally in the second half, the Stallions had answers at every turn, moving the ball like a well-oiled machine and finding open looks in key moments.
Leading the charge off the bench was Josh Willis, who made the most of his minutes with 14 points on a sharp 6-of-8 shooting night, proving to be an instant spark. Antone McNair followed with 13 points, including a well-timed three-pointer in the first half that helped cement NAU's early advantage. Des'Raymond McKey was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field, racking up 12 points and six assists, while Bersil Cox stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, five rebounds, and five assists, making an impact on both ends of the floor.
The Stallions didn't just score – they shared the wealth. Twenty-six assists as a team kept Strength N Motion scrambling on defense, with McKey (6) and Cox (5) leading the dime department. That teamwork led to a scorching 52.1% shooting from the field and a lights-out 50% from deep, proving once again that unselfish basketball wins games.
On the other side, P. Francis did everything he could to keep Strength N Motion in the fight, dropping a game-high 25 points and eight assists. Teammates J. Wilson (13 points) and M. Kpene (11 points, eight rebounds) chipped in, but their efforts weren't enough to overcome NAU's depth and efficiency.
Though Strength N Motion won the rebounding battle (39-40), the Stallions took care of the ball just enough, keeping their turnovers in check and making the most of their offensive possessions. With the win, NAU continues to build momentum, proving they have the firepower and chemistry to compete at a high level.
The Wild Stallions will look to keep their winning ways rolling as they gear up for the next challenge. One thing's for sure—when this team gets moving, there's no slowing them down. The Stable is strong.
