Dimas Dominates the Glass, Stallions Drop Home Contest

NA outscores Southwest after halftime, slow start proves costly in an 83–70 setback.

JV Stallions show fight behind a 15–15 night from Dimas, but can't erase first-half deficit.

FINAL — Southwest Raiders 83, North American JV 70
February 2, 2026 • P.A.R.C — Sugar Land, Texas

SUGAR LAND — Under the bright lights of the P.A.R.C on Monday night, the North American University JV Stallions showed their trademark heart and resilience, but an early deficit proved too steep as they fell 83–70 to a fast-starting Southwest Raiders squad.

The Raiders came out firing, putting together a blistering 49-point first half that forced NAU to play catch-up from the opening minutes. But true to Stallion spirit, North American refused to fold. After regrouping at the break, the JV Stallions stormed out with energy, purpose, and a renewed edge—outscoring Southwest 41–34 in the second half and battling to the buzzer.

Inside the paint, Jordon Dimas delivered a blue-collar masterpiece:
15 points, 15 rebounds, and an incredible 10 offensive boards, setting the tone physically every trip down the floor.

Jalil Otems brought the intensity on both ends, attacking downhill for 13 points and 7 rebounds, while Antone McNair matched him with 13 points, 7 boards, and 3 steals—a complete two-way performance from the junior guard.

Floor leader Anthony Bergara stuffed the stat sheet once again, posting 7 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists, helping stabilize the offense throughout NAU's second-half surge.

North American won the rebounding battle emphatically 50–43, but 19 turnovers and a tough night from the perimeter (5–20 from three) hindered the comeback.

For Southwest, balance was the story, with four Raiders finishing in double figures, led by Hilliard's 15-point, 12-rebound double-double.

Despite the final score, the JV Stallions showed growth, grit, and the type of second-half fight that travels.

North American returns to action next week, continuing their home stand at the P.A.R.C.
