As our nation pauses to observe Memorial Day, North American University stands united in honoring and remembering the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States of America.

Memorial Day is more than a moment on the calendar — it is a time of reflection, gratitude, and reverence for those who gave everything to protect the freedoms we experience every day. Observed on the final Monday in May, the holiday serves as a powerful reminder of the courage, dedication, and selflessness displayed by generations of American service members.

At North American University, we recognize that freedom carries a cost. As a university community built on opportunity, determination, and purpose, we understand that our ability to learn, compete, teach, and grow is made possible through the sacrifice of those who served our nation with honor. Their legacy reminds us to lead with integrity, to stand for something greater than ourselves, and to carry forward the values of commitment, unity, and sacrifice.

Many members of the NAU family — including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters — share direct connections to military service. This Memorial Day, we honor not only those who served, but also the families who continue to carry their memories and legacies forward.

North American University encourages the entire campus community to pause and reflect on the meaning of this day.
