NAU Football Stable the Steers

FIRST NAIA WIN!!!

Congratulations to the North American University Stallion Football team on their hard-fought victory against the Texas College Steers on September 30, 2023! The I-59 Challenge Bowl was a very exciting game with some standout performances.

Brodick Brown, the quarterback for Texas College, had an impressive game, passing for 285 yards and connecting with Derrick Cooper and TJ "The Play Maker" Hookfin. On the Stallions' side, Griffin Williams had a great game, with 147 yards and 3 touchdowns, connecting with Jason Reeves. It's always thrilling to see such strong offensive performances.

However, it's also clear that there were some issues with penalties and discipline during the game, which affected both teams. With nearly 200 yards in combined penalties, it's evident that both teams need to work on discipline and game control. Minimizing penalties is crucial for a team's success and can make a significant difference in the outcome of games.

This win marks an important milestone for the North American University Football Team, being their first victory in the NAIA and SAC for football. It's a testament to their hard work and dedication. Moving forward, focusing on discipline and reducing penalties will likely be key goals to further improve the team's performance and competitiveness in the conference.

Once again, congratulations to the Stallions, and best of luck to them as they continue to work hard and strive for success on the gridiron!
