Women's Basketball Recap: NAU Triumphs Over TAMUT

In an exhilarating showdown at Stafford, Texas, the North American University (NAU) Lady Stallions clashed with the Texas A&M University Texarkana (TAMUT) Eagles on February 15, 2024. The game unfolded with intense energy and competitive spirit, culminating in a thrilling victory for the Lady Stallions with a final score of 70-63.

The Eagles of TAMUT entered the contest boasting the talents of two standout players, Kayla Williams and international collegiate athlete Delfina Misiuna. Williams, a force in the paint, showcased her skills throughout the game, tallying an impressive 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists. Misiuna contributed 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals, displaying her versatility on the court.

Despite the formidable presence of Williams and Misiuna, NAU's dynamic double-point guard system proved to be the decisive factor. Victoria Moore and Elisa Peralta orchestrated the offense masterfully, with Moore notching 10 points and 5 assists while shooting 4-9 from the field. Peralta showcased her playmaking abilities with 8 points, 11 assists, and 5 steals, dictating the tempo of the game and creating scoring opportunities for her teammates.

Leading the charge for the Lady Stallions were Desiree Rogers and Keiarra Rivers, whose stellar performances propelled NAU to victory.
