Stallions Stampede to 110–59 Victory — Undefeated at 3–0 NAIA, 4–0 USCAA
North American University 110, Westgate Christian University 59
November 17, 2025 — The PARC
Written By Rev. Justin C. Jackson
Inside a packed and electrified PARC Gym, the North American University Stallions delivered a performance that sounded more like a thunderstorm than a basketball game. With relentless pressure, disciplined execution, and a full-team showcase of talent, the Stallions stormed to a 110–59 victory, remaining undefeated at 3–0 in NAIA and 4–0 in USCAA competition.
From the opening whistle, NAU controlled the tempo. The Stallions raced out to 55 first-half points, matching that output again in the second half as they executed the type of balanced, unselfish basketball that defines championship-level programs.
Northern Lights Took Over the PARC
At the heart of the dominance stood Naheim Northern, whose game lit up the gym like the very meaning of his name — strength, coolness, and ice in motion. Northern delivered a powerful 12-point, 11-rebound double-double, commanding the glass and calming the offense any time Westgate attempted to shift momentum. His presence anchored NAU on both ends, steady and unshaken.
Syncere "L Boogy" Shaw Had Defenders Dancing
When Syncere Shaw checked in, the rhythm of the game changed. Shaw had the defense reacting, swaying, and flat-out losing balance as he created space with top-tier footwork and ball handling. His 18 points on 7–13 shooting, including 2–4 from deep, fueled multiple scoring runs. Every possession he touched created options — open lanes, open shooters, or open jaws from the crowd.
Jayden Jackson: Poised, Quick, and Electric
Jayden Jackson played with the calm confidence of a player who sees the whole floor before anyone else. His change of pace in transition, his ability to rise at the rim, and his steady control of the offense kept NAU pushing forward. Jackson delivered an ultra-efficient 18 points on 7–8 shooting, knocked down both of his threes, and added six assists, orchestrating the Stallions' attack with precision.
Tevin Gowens: The Defensive Engine
Tevin Gowens once again proved why he's the defensive backbone of this program. His instincts set the tone early as he tallied six steals, shutting down passing lanes and flipping defense into instant offense. With four assists, Gowens made sure the ball kept moving and the pressure never relented.
Kemani Wilson stepped onto the court ready for impact — and delivered. With 15 points on 5–6 shooting and a perfect 4–4 from the line, Wilson finished strong at the rim, ran the floor with purpose, and added another layer of firepower to NAU's bench production.
Captain Jamarric "Pony" Hammond Led the Herd
Team Captain Jamarric Hammond, known affectionately as "Pony," reminded everyone why leadership matters. While his 10 points came quietly in the scoring column, his voice echoed loudly throughout the gym. Hammond communicated, reinforced, energized, and set the culture in real time — the mark of a true Champion of Character guiding a team with intention and heart.
A Complete Team Win
The Stallions were dominant in every statistical category:
-
56% shooting from the field
-
47.6% from three
-
88.9% at the free-throw line
-
31 assists on 42 made baskets
-
16 steals, fueling transition scoring
-
47 total rebounds and unmatched effort in the trenches
This was team basketball at its finest — fast, disciplined, connected, and hungry.

The Stallions now take their undefeated record on the road, heading to Colorado to face Colorado Christian University and Colorado State University Pueblo. With momentum high and chemistry clicking, NAU aims to keep the stampede rolling.
