The North American University JV basketball squads—Wild Stallions and Young Stallions—took the court on Monday and Tuesday against the Strength & Motion Academy Red and Black teams, sharpening their skills in high-intensity competition. Monday's showdown saw the Stallions take on the Strength & Motion Red squad in a battle of grit, hustle, and pure athleticism.

Strength & Motion, a program built on the legendary philosophy of George "Iceman" Gervin, came ready to compete, but the Stallions answered with relentless rebounding and suffocating defense. Despite Strength & Motion's sharp shooting, NAU's sheer dominance on the glass proved to be the difference, securing a 97-82 victory.

Key Performers:

  • Anthony Ngwu controlled the paint with a 14-point, 12-rebound double-double, adding 3 blocks.
  • Josh Willis & Sean Thompson each dropped 13 points, showing leadership in the backcourt.
  • Aaderius Blanks did it all with 9 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals in a gritty effort.
  • David Barro came off the bench and made an impact with 9 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Etuke Mbua added 10 points, providing instant offense in limited minutes.

Despite a strong effort from Strength & Motion's Hall (15 points) and Calhoun (14 points), the Stallions' relentless rebounding and defensive pressure overwhelmed the opposition.

This matchup gave the Stallions valuable minutes to fine-tune their chemistry and execution as they continue their developmental journey—a big shoutout to Strength & Motion Academy for the elite-level competition and their dedication to player development.

The Stallions will be back in action soon, looking to build on this momentum. Stay locked in for more coverage from Stable Talk!
