HOUSTON, Texas — When preparation meets performance, recognition follows.
North American University Track & Field continues to make noise on the national level as two Stallions have been recognized by the USCAA as Athletes of the Week following standout performances at the Carl Knight Invitational.
CARL KNIGHT INVITATIONAL — RESULTS THAT SPEAK
Competing at the Carl Knight Invitational in Nacogdoches, Texas, the Stallions turned in another strong showing, continuing to build momentum heading into championship season.
Laila Williams delivered a performance that set her apart on the track, earning Runner of the Week honors through her consistency, pacing, and competitive finish against a strong field.
On the men's side, Keqwon Palm once again showed why he's one of the most dynamic athletes on the roster. Competing in the hurdles, Palm's performance translated directly into national recognition, reinforcing his presence as a top competitor in his event group.
FROM THE NOMINATION CARD
The recognition reflects more than just placement—it highlights execution.
For Laila Williams, her nomination emphasized her ability to maintain pace, compete through the final stretch, and deliver a performance that stood out among a competitive field at the Carl Knight Invitational.

For Keqwon Palm, the nomination focused on his technical execution in the hurdles, his speed between barriers, and his ability to perform under pressure—continuing a trend of strong performances this season, including previous record-setting efforts.

These selections were based on performances that not only produced results, but demonstrated the discipline and preparation behind them.
MOMENTUM CONTINUES
This recognition comes at the right time.
The Stallions have been stacking performances across multiple meets—from school records at the TSU and PVAMU Relays to continued production at the Carl Knight Invitational. Now, with national honors added to the resume, the program continues to trend upward.
These awards are not just individual—they reflect a team that is preparing, competing, and producing results week after week.
BUILDING TOWARD CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON
With the USCAA Track and Field National Championships approaching, performances like these signal that North American University is arriving at the right moment.
Recognition is earned.
Momentum is built.
And the Stallions are moving with purpose.
