Assistant Athletic Trainer

Kim began her athletic training career in 1985 after graduating from Rice University. She worked as an athletic trainer in clinical sports medicine and with local area schools for event coverage. She attended physical therapy school in 1989 at UTMB Galveston and returned to clinical orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation where she worked for several companies in the Houston area for the next 21 years. She began working for Fort Bend ISD and Lamar Consolidated ISD as a contract PRN athletic trainer for event coverage in 2016. Kim came to NAU in 2018 at the start of the football program as a contract athletic trainer. She developed the sports medicine program and guided the building of a training room in 2019. She continued to grow the program and eventually hired the first full time athletic trainer at NAU. She continues her work at NAU focusing on rehabilitation and event coverage.
