Brode Hopkins

Brode Hopkins enters his first season as an Assistant Coach at North American University. He recently finished up his second season as a graduate assistant at Minnesota State University where they had a combined .611 win percentage. In his second season they reached as high as 10th in the nation's AP polls. He also trained & helped Malik Willingham reach unanimous all conference for the first time this previous season.

Prior to coming to Minnesota State University he was in Massachusetts coaching at the National Prep level with Springfield Commonwealth Academy. In his first season in Springfield he helped the Tornadoes finish 11th in the final National Poll rankings, & reach the National Prep Tournament. Hopkins helped turn the program from a .185 win percentage to a .818 in that first season.

Hopkins trained & developed four NCAA division 1 scholarship players that season, as well as two NCAA division 2, & one NJCAA. Making it the most players to reach such levels from the institution.

Prior to his move to the east coast, Hopkins attended Lincoln Christian University where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Business administration & a minor in theology.  While attending LCU, Hopkins was a four year starter & two year captain for the Red Lions basketball team where he was a 1000 point scorer & racked up over 500 assists.

Hopkins is a native to Hartsburg, Illinois and attended Hartem High School.
