Coach Rev. Justin Cole Jackson
Justin C. Jackson was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Eddie and Cathleen Jackson August 1980. Graduated from Oscar Dean Wyatt High School in 1998 in the top 10 of his class lettering in baseball, soccer, golf, fencing, choir, theater and was selected as an All-City and All-State low-brass musician in an award winning UIL band.
Upon entering college at Texas Christian University on a baseball scholarship, Jackson was selected to represent his city and High school at the 1999 Fiesta Bowl Band Competition. Coach Jackson received The Outstanding Soloist Award and was offered a full Scholarship to Prairie View A&M University. Jackson was the Student Band Director within four semesters of attendance in which is love for education cross lines of entertainment, athletics, statistics and event organization started to come together. At this time, he decided to take a break from school to go on a music tour with a horn and rhythm section that played background music for some very high-profile artist like Jill Scott, Troy Trombone Shorty Andrews, Kirk Franklin and Snarky Puppy. This music tour allowed Coach Jackson to learn what young musicians should be preparing their selves for. At the same time life was choosing a different path in fatherhood. Needing a job to support my family and understanding brass instruments lead me to a path of CNC machinist. Not only in a metal shop but one that manufactures The LMTVs and MRAPs for the military. This was very hard work but an honor that allowed for me to not only learn more about the craft but also build my leadership skills. BAE systems also pushed me to further my education. That company paid for CNC certification, Culinary Arts Certificate, and the two semesters back at Prairie View A & M University.
Once the contract was over with the military, I was laid off but had time to work as Lead Chef and district manager for a corporate restaurant. Teaching and training new chefs in the day and working as High School band consultant and private lesson instructor at night. Until the call from one of my Alpha Phi Omega fraternity brothers hired me as Assistant Band Director at Texas College. In 2017 Mr. Jackson was known as Coach Chef Jackson cooking up some musical recipes for success. From there I became the Student Activities Coordinator and Assistant Soccer Coach. My passion for higher education has been solidified. Helping our young adults find their niche in life and or just a great starting point on their dreams to goals has become my total goal in life. In Spring 2021 Coach Jackson became the Sport Information Director and brought Texas College into the light of YouTube, by becoming the Executive Producer and Broadcaster on Antler Sports Network in Tyler, Texas. In the fall of 2022 Texas College set a Campus and Conference Record by having the most views in a non-title game against Langston University which has now accumulated over 40k views.
I am the Sports Information Director and E Gaming Coach at North American University where I will continue my mission of higher education and guiding our young adults through the high ideas and values of culture for service and service to humanity.
