Lady Stallion's Travel To 3rd Ward

NAU VS TSU

The Lady Stallions of North American University had an intense game against Texas Southern University in women's basketball. Despite a strong start with impressive offensive plays in the first quarter, Texas Southern University's Lady Tigers ultimately secured the win in a hard fought game in which the final score can not tell the whole story.

Starting off fast and scoring early with players like Victoria Moore and Elisa Peralta showcasing their skills, contributing not only offensively but also with key rebounds. Keiarra Rivers, also known to Coach Davis as MS. KG, had a standout performance in the paint with 20 points, 14 rebounds, and 1 block.  Rivers' dominant performance in the paint showcased her relentless attitude and determination.. The team's never-give-up attitude and trademark resilience were evident throughout the game.

It's more than evident that the Lady Stallions faced a tough opponent in TSU, with players like Daeja Holmes, Shomari Phillips, and Jordyn Turner making significant contributions for the Lady Tigers.  Additionally, TSU benefited from offensive runs and bench support, with Daeja Holmes scoring 26 points and 8 rebounds, Shomari Phillips adding 17 points, and Jordyn Turner contributing 12 points. These collective efforts allowed the Lady Tigers to gain control of the game and secure the win with a final score of TSU 109 to NAU 67. 

On Thursday the ladies face another close University in the upcoming game against Prairie View A&M University on November 16th, emphasizing the team's determination to bounce back and continue competing against historic D1 SWAC universities.

Regardless of the outcome, the support for the Lady Stallions remains strong with the rallying cry of "Hooves Up and GOOOO STALLIONSSS!!!" showcasing the spirit of the team and its fans.
