Written By Rev. Justin C. Jackson
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The North American University (NAU) Stallions hit the road Tuesday night, looking to lasso a win inside Mabee Gymnasium against Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU). However, after a hot start, the Stallions saw momentum slip away as the Saints stormed back to secure an 81-64 victory.
Fast Start, Tough Finish
The Stallions came out firing, holding a 21-16 lead with just over seven minutes left in the first half. But from there, the Saints flipped the script, going on a crushing 12-0 run to take control. By halftime, NAU found themselves trailing 33-26, and OLLU never looked back.
Despite a few second-half surges that cut the deficit to single digits, the Stallions couldn't quite climb back into the game. OLLU capitalized on second-chance opportunities and free throws to extend their lead, finishing the night with a 21-point cushion.

What's Next?
The Stallions won't have much time to dwell on this one as they shift their focus to a rematch against Texas A&M-San Antonio (TAMUSA) on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 3:00 PM CST. The last meeting between these two squads was a nail-biter, with NAU narrowly falling 71-70. This time, the Stallions will be looking to even the score and defend The Stable.
Final Thoughts
It was a tough night in San Antonio, but the road to success is never smooth. The Stallions showed flashes of brilliance early on, but consistency will be the key moving forward. With a chance to bounce back against TAMUSA, expect NAU to come out with fire and determination.
Get those four-fingered hooves up and GOOOOOOO STALLIONS!!!!!!!
