STALLIONS BATTLE HARD BUT FALL TO LSUA IN PHYSICAL RRAC SHOWDOWN
Written By Rev. Justin C. Jackson
Stafford, Texas – October 16, 2025 — Under the bright lights and cool Texas air, the North American University Stallions took the pitch ready for a statement game against powerhouse LSU Alexandria. What unfolded was a gritty, physical 90-minute chess match that saw the Stallions hang tough until a late first-half surge by LSUA cracked the door open — and Ben McCarron kicked it wide open with a clinical hat trick that sealed the 3–0 decision.
The first 35 minutes told a story of focus and fight. The Stallions' defensive wall was anchored by Sagesse Gutsa AKA SAG and Gonzalo Bruieva, the tall, fearless Spaniard whose strength, speed, and leadership set the tone early. "El Muro" lived up to his name, clearing dangerous crosses and organizing the back line with veteran precision. Gutsa added energy and toughness, cutting off attacking lanes and frustrating LSUA's forwards.

In goal, Gino Burioni aka "Le Chat Froid" — The Cool Cat — was calm and composed under constant pressure, tallying six solid saves, including a highlight diving stop in the 31st minute that kept the Stallions within reach.

In midfield, Joseph Figueroa, aka The Sniper, controlled the tempo with surgical precision, threading passes and keeping the Stallions structured even as LSUA increased the pace. His leadership and vision anchored the team's efforts throughout the contest.
But RRAC soccer is a game of moments. At 36:06, a loose rebound in the box found McCarron's foot for the opener. Barely two minutes later, another ricochet doubled the lead. Both goals came off rebounds that slipped just beyond Burioni's reach. In the 57th minute, McCarron completed his hat trick with a soaring header — a moment of brilliance that sealed the result.
Even in defeat, the Stallions showed grit, determination, and flashes of the disciplined soccer that Coach Smith demands. Jose Carlos Dos Santos, aka"Big Papi," came in to reassert physicality and calm tensions late, while the team battled hard, matching LSUA in effort and heart until the final whistle.

The RRAC continues to deliver high-octane, emotional soccer week after week. For fans who missed the action, Only on Clutch Sports Network captured every moment — click the link to watch the replay and relive the intensity.
