Stallions Open The Season In Dominant Fashion at “THE STABLE”

Stallions Ride Past Westgate Christian in a 108–55 Season

Stafford, Texas — October 28, 2025

It was a night to remember inside the Stafford MSN Gym, better known around campus as "The Stable," as the North American University Stallions opened their 2025–26 season with a 108–55 statement victory over Westgate Christian University.

Before the main event, the NAU JV Basketball Team set the tone at the Paul Abernathy Recreation Center for the evening with a thrilling win over the Houston Defenders, sending energy surging through the campus early. That momentum carried right into the varsity matchup — and from tipoff to final buzzer, the Stallions never looked back.

The crowd was alive and proud. The JV players packed the stands to cheer on their teammates, while the UMCR Department showed up in full force. Special recognition goes to Ms. Betty Hayes and Professor Donald Gary, who once again proved to be two of the loudest voices in The Stable — rallying the Stallion faithful all night long.

The Stallions wasted no time asserting dominance, racing out to a 59–23 halftime lead and shooting over 52% from the field on the night. Naheim Northern powered through the paint for 15 points and 7 rebounds, while Jamarric Hammond poured in 17 points, hitting clutch shots from deep.
Oakley Lewis was a model of efficiency, finishing 4-for-5 from the floor for 11 points, and Syncere Shaw added 12 points off the bench, knocking down three triples to electrify the crowd.

Head Coach B. Doze's Stallions combined discipline with flair — racking up 21 assists and 22 steals as the defense turned into instant offense. From fast-break dunks to precision passing, this home opener was a showcase of what Stallion basketball is all about: speed, unity, and heart.

As the final buzzer sounded and the scoreboard read 108–55, the message was clear — the Stallions are back, and The Stable is open for business.
