NAU TEAMS RANKED NATIONALLY — BUT THE CAMPUS ENERGY IS MISSING

STAFFORD, Texas — The preseason polls are out, the national spotlight is shining, and both North American University basketball programs have officially stamped themselves among the very best in the USCAA.
The NAU Women's Basketball Team, the reigning USCAA Division I National Champions, enter the season ranked #1 in the nation—right where champions belong. On the men's side, the Stallions check in at #4, positioning themselves as a genuine threat for a deep postseason run.
That's two nationally ranked programs. Two teams doing everything right. Two squads carrying the North American University banner with pride, discipline, and excellence.
But now it's time to ask the question nobody wants to ask out loud:
Where is the support?
THE TEAMS SHOW UP EVERY NIGHT — BUT THE BLEACHERS DON'T MATCH THEIR ENERGY
These programs train year-round.
They study film.
They lift, run, sacrifice, represent, and compete.
They show up for this university.
And yet, too often, when these student-athletes take the court, the gym echoes louder than the crowd. The seats are available, the talent is undeniable, and the games are right here on our campus. But the energy—the unified spirit that champions deserve—is being carried by the players and coaches, not the people they represent.
This isn't a scolding; it's a challenge.
This isn't frustration; it's a wake-up call.
When your women's team is ranked #1 in the nation and your men's team is ranked #4, that's not a moment to sit back. That's a moment to stand up.
NATIONAL RANKINGS AREN'T ACCIDENTS — THEY'RE AN INVITATION
Programs don't rise to the top by accident. They rise because of dedication, discipline, and resilience. But championship cultures aren't built by players alone—they're built by campuses that believe in them.
Imagine The Stable packed.
Imagine noise shaking the walls.
Imagine a student section that opponents fear before tip-off.
Imagine faculty, staff, GLS, international students, and the entire NAU family showing up—not just watching from a distance.
These rankings are more than recognition.
They're an invitation for the entire university to get behind two elite programs wearing your school's name on their chest.
STALLION NATION, IT'S TIME TO SHOW UP
If the athletes can commit to excellence… if the coaches can commit to leadership… if the university can commit to competing on a national stage…
Then the campus should commit to showing up.
Not next month.
Not during tournament season.
Not only when a championship banner gets raised.
Now.
These teams are giving NAU something to be proud of—right in front of our eyes. The question is simple:
Will the campus rise with them?
It's time for the noise.
It's time for the pride.
It's time for North American University to show the nation exactly who we are.
Let's ride, Stallion Nation.
