Stafford, Texas – The energy inside The Stable was electric as the North American University Lady Stallions opened their 2025-26 season with a statement — an 83–39 rout over the College of Biblical Studies, marking one of the largest margins of victory in program history.
The Lady Stallions came out strong, setting the tempo early with a 15–8 first-quarter lead and never looked back, outscoring their opponents in every frame. By halftime, NAU had built a comfortable 37–19 advantage — and the show was just getting started.
Head Coach Nikkia Davis Sr., backed by Assistant Coaches JaQuia White and M. Lawan, had his squad playing disciplined, up-tempo basketball on both ends of the court. North American's aggressive defense forced 29 turnovers, which translated into transition buckets and a steady offensive rhythm that overwhelmed the visiting Ambassadors.
Offensively, it was a team effort. Savannah Velazquez and Aliyah Solis led the charge with 11 points apiece, each showcasing poise and energy that sparked the home crowd. Jerkayla Dickey and Akyra Hodges were dominant in the paint, combining for 18 points and 17 rebounds, while Keasia Robinson and Peyton Overton added eight points each, keeping the pressure constant across all four quarters.
The Lady Stallions shot an efficient 44.2% from the field, secured 44 total rebounds, and dished out 24 assists — a balanced display that reflected strong chemistry and unselfish play. The defensive hustle was equally impressive, with 22 steals and constant disruption of passing lanes.
Coach Davis Sr. praised his team's effort after the win, saying,
