Dallas, Texas — The North American University Lady Stallions weathered a stop-and-start contest against Paul Quinn College, holding on for an 86–83 road victory in a game where patience, focus, and composure were tested from start to finish.
The pace was choppy early, as both teams struggled to find rhythm amid a steady stream of whistles that kept players adjusting on the fly. But even with the frequent interruptions, the Lady Stallions refused to let frustration take over — instead, they leaned on teamwork and leadership.
Jerkayla Dickey once again led the charge with 23 points and 9 rebounds, while Savannah Velazquez added 20 points, 7 steals, and 6 boards, showing the poise of a veteran floor general. Off the bench, Aliyah Solis provided a huge spark, dropping 17 points on efficient shooting.

In the closing moments, the game came down to execution — and that's when Maurdaisha "Day Day" Powell delivered. With the clock winding down, Powell powered through contact for a clutch and-one finish, giving North American the lead and sealing the hard-fought win.
Despite the uneven flow of play, the Lady Stallions maintained their composure, showed discipline under pressure, and walked away with a statement road victory.
Final: North American 86, Paul Quinn 83
The Lady Stallions move to 3-0 on the season, proving that championship habits aren't built on comfort — they're built on composure.
