NA Where development meets dominance and the Lady Stallions rise on a national stage.
Written By Rev. Justin C. Jackson
When you step into the gym at North American University, you're not just walking into a program—you're stepping into a standard. And that standard has a name: Coach Ni'Kia Davis Sr.
Three years in, the numbers tell a story—but the culture tells the legacy.
Coach Davis has built the Lady Stallions into a program that competes, develops, and wins with purpose. An 18-9 overall record during his tenure reflects more than just victories—it reflects discipline, identity, and a locker room that understands what it means to represent the Stallion brand.

And like any great coach, his impact shows up where it matters most—on the floor and in the accolades:
-
RRAC First Team Selection
-
RRAC Second Team Selection
-
RRAC Honorable Mention
-
RRAC Champions of Character
That's production. That's development. That's culture.
But Coach Davis didn't stop at conference respect—he took it national.
Under his leadership, the Lady Stallions reached the USCAA Final Four, while the coaching staff earned USCAA Coaching Staff of the Year honors—a testament to preparation, vision, and execution at the highest level.
And his players? They showed up and showed out:
-
USCAA First Team All-American
-
Two USCAA Second Team All-Americans
-
USCAA Student-Athlete of the Year
That's not luck—that's leadership.
Building It From the Ground Up
Coach Davis officially took the reins on April 18, 2024, becoming the third head coach in program history—but his fingerprints were already on the foundation.
Originally brought in as an assistant, he stepped into the interim head coach role before the 2023 season and immediately changed the trajectory.
In that first season:
That wasn't just improvement—that was a statement.
Players like Keiarra Rivers, Victoria Moore, and Chay Scott thrived under his system, earning conference honors while helping elevate the program's national profile.
The Blueprint Before NAU
Before bringing that energy to the Stallions, Coach Davis was already building programs.
At the British International School of Houston, he turned momentum into measurable growth:
And before that, his coaching roots were grounded in development, serving at Harbor Rams in Morgans Point—where the blueprint for leadership, patience, and player growth was formed.

More Than a Coach
Coach Davis is more than wins and awards—he's a builder of people.
Currently completing his degree in Business at North American University, he leads not just with strategy, but with example. Alongside his partner Tracey and their four children—Kayden, Ni'Kia Jr. (Jojo), Kamryn, and Jayce—he represents the balance of family, faith, and focus.
From the Coach's Desk
"Year 3 in the books! It was special—so many moments with a great group of young ladies who overcame adversity all year, showcasing heart, grit, and perseverance. A lot of program firsts this season, and we're looking forward to the future. The Standard is the Standard!" Coach Ni'Kia Davis Sr.

The Stallion Standard: What's Next
Three years in, one thing is clear:
The Lady Stallions aren't chasing respect anymore… they're commanding it.
The standard has been set. The culture is built. And the pipeline? It's open.
If you're a student-athlete looking for:
-
Development at a national level
-
A coaching staff that invests in you on and off the court
-
A program on the rise with a Final Four ceiling
Then it's time to take a serious look at North American University.
And with the Free Stallion Program, the opportunity isn't just real—it's accessible.
This isn't just where you play. This is where you become.
