Coach Nikkia Davis, Sr. and Assistant Coach JaQuia White battled against Coach Billy Perkins and Coach Celesta Perkins, two of the strongest culture-builders in small-college athletics. The first half was a grind-it-out chess match—tied 11–11 after the first quarter and down just one at halftime, 26–25. Neither team blinked, both coaching staffs adjusting on the fly, waiting for the moment momentum would break free.
