Joselin Hernandez Joins the Lady Stallions: A Defensive Powerhouse with an Attacking Edge
By Rev. Justin C. Jackson, Sports Information Director
The North American University Lady Stallions soccer program continues to strengthen its roster with the addition of Joselin Hernandez, a highly skilled and dynamic wing-back from Houston, Texas. A product of North Shore Senior High School and the esteemed Challenge Soccer Club, Hernandez brings a rare combination of defensive prowess and attacking ingenuity to the Lady Stallions' backline.
Standing at 5'2" and proving the old adage that "dynamite comes in small packages," Hernandez has built a reputation as a game-changer. Whether locking down opposing attackers with tenacious defending or pushing forward to spark offensive opportunities, she embodies the modern wing-back role to perfection. Compared to elite professionals like Lucy Bronze and Carson Pickett, she is known for her impeccable positioning, defensive tenacity, and an uncanny ability to contribute in the attacking third.
Hernandez has showcased her talents at multiple levels, wearing No. 9 for North Shore Senior High School, No. 11 for Challenge 07 East Girls, and No. 16 for North Shore FC 11 Stars Girls. Her technical ability, vision, and composure under pressure make her a cornerstone addition to the Lady Stallions' evolving defensive unit. With a right foot that delivers pinpoint crosses and a defensive mindset that disrupts even the most potent offenses, she is poised to make an immediate impact in the Red River Conference.
"Joselin is a technical defender with an exceptional understanding of the game," said the Lady Stallions coaching staff. "Her ability to control the backline, transition into attack, and lead by example makes her an invaluable addition to our squad. She's the type of player who can elevate an entire team with her energy and skill."
Hernandez's arrival signals a commitment to building a program that values versatility, discipline, and leadership. As the Lady Stallions prepare for the upcoming season, her presence on the field will be instrumental in shaping a defense that is as resolute as it is dangerous on the counterattack.
Welcome to North American University, Joselin! We can't wait to see you shine in the USCAA and Red River Conference!
