Stallions Ride Road Win, Show Balance and Grit at TAMUSA

Balanced scoring, paint dominance, and defensive intensity fuel win over TAMUSA.

Stafford, TX – The North American University Stallions pulled off a solid road victory over Texas A&M–San Antonio, 76–65, in a game where balance, rebounding, and defensive grit made the difference.

From tip-off, NAU set the tone with a first half that had the Jaguars chasing all over the court. The Stallions hit 45 points before halftime and kept the pressure on, forcing turnovers, crashing the boards, and controlling the pace.

Joseph Cormier led the charge with 15 points, hitting 6-of-11 from the field, while Naheim Northern anchored the paint with 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 blocks. And Jamarric Hammond? Double-double alert: 11 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals—he did the dirty work nobody notices until it's too late.

The Stallions bench chipped in exactly where needed. Oakley Lewis scored 7 points with a block and hustle plays that kept the energy high, while Desmond Raymond McKey knocked down 2-of-3 from three, stretching the defense and opening the floor for the starters. Kemani Wilson added 10 points and 6 rebounds, proving the guards weren't backing down in the paint either.

NAU dominated the boards 43–31, including 13 offensive rebounds that created second-chance points. Free throws were money at 82.4%, and defensive rotations—especially in the paint—kept TAMUSA from getting easy looks.

This wasn't just a win; it was a statement. The Stallions proved they can control tempo, protect the paint, and execute under pressure—even on the road. Texas A&M-San Antonio made a push, but NAU's discipline and composure carried the day.
