As the Stallions made that long walk across the beautiful and historic campus of Prairie View A&M University—a place rich in culture, competition, and championship DNA—you could feel it in the air. From football recruits making their rounds to campus energy buzzing with fraternity events, including members of Club Crescendo Fraternity Inc. serving as the welcoming committee, this wasn't just another meet… this was a stage.
And by the time North American University arrived?
Everybody was talking NAU Track & Field.
This wasn't just a roster. This was a squad loaded with All-Americans, basketball champions, and football-caliber athletes who once had eyes from SWAC country. With four athletes already sitting Top 10 in the USCAA, the Stallions didn't just show up—they commanded respect. The Prairie View faithful? Oh, they were watching—and yes, they were bragging on NAU with pride.

Brotherhood Before the Blocks
Before a single sprint was clocked, the tone was set.
Under that Texas heat, over half the team lined the field supporting throwers and high jumpers—no spotlight, just sweat and support. That's culture. That's leadership. That's the Champion of Character mindset in real time.
On the Track: Grit Over Glamour
The 100m crew came out firing:
- Kegwon Palm (11.35) and Uros Bekcic (11.36) went stride-for-stride showing elite closing speed
- Freshman Jayden Jackson gained valuable experience with an 11.82 finish
Palm doubled back in the 110m hurdles, clocking 15.69, continuing to show his versatility as one of the most dynamic athletes on the roster.
In the 200m, the Stallions leaned on development and depth:
- Jayden Jackson – 24.63
- Nicholas Hatchett – 24.88
- Jason Reeves – 27.21
The 400m saw Hatchett (58.23) and Reeves (1:01.41) battle through tough lanes and conditions.

Distance Dawg Mentality
Freshman Tyler Johns quietly put together one of the strongest all-around days:
- 800m – 2:32.64
- 1500m – 4:57.39
- 5000m – 18:59.79 (4th Place Finish)
That's endurance. That's heart. That's points on the board.

Field Events: Setting the Foundation
- Jamarric Hammond – 1.78m in High Jump (Top 10 finish)
- Long Jump crew stacked reps with Hammond (5.85m), Rodela (5.79m), and Jackson (5.42m)
- Hatchett added versatility in Shot Put (8.25m)

Relay Energy
The 4x100 Relay squad (Palm, Bekcic, Hammond, Jackson) clocked 44.89, showing flashes of a unit that's still building chemistry—but already dangerous.
Final Word
This wasn't about perfect finishes. This was about identity.
The NAU men didn't just compete—they connected, they battled, and they made noise in a place where football runs deep and track respect must be earned.
And trust this…
The Stallions earned it.
