BROWNSVILLE, Texas — The North American University Stallions took their show on the road Saturday night and brought back a 4-2 victory.
North American put together one of its most productive offensive performances of the season, getting two goals from Flynn Faulkner, a goal and two assists from Sandile Mdluli, and another goal from Ruben Beyer to defeat Texas Southmost College.
 Faulkner was everywhere.  Â
The midfielder found the back of the net twice while adding an assist, helping the Stallions control the pace and keep pressure on the Texas Southmost defense.
Mdluli continued his strong stretch of play with one goal and two assists, directly contributing to three of North American's four goals.
Then came Beyer.
With his first goal of the season, Beyer added another piece to an attack that continues to find different ways to create offense.
FOUR GOALS. THREE PLAYERS. ROAD WIN.
That's the part North American can take away from Brownsville.
The Stallions didn't need one player to carry the attack. Faulkner produced. Mdluli created. Beyer finished.
That's team soccer.
And while the offense was putting four on the board, there was another Stallion quietly building his own national résumé.
  
BIG L IS IN THE GOLDEN GLOVE RACE
Lutho Mkaba has cracked the NAIA Top Five Golden Glove race, sitting at No. 5 with more than 30 saves and an 86% save percentage in the latest national snapshot.
That 86% mark is the highest save percentage among the five goalkeepers featured.
The other four keepers in the snapshot are Carter Levesque, Jacob Warren, Ismael Herrera and Zahir Garcia — all of whom have also reached at least 30 saves.
For Mkaba, it's another chapter in a season that already includes RRAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after he recorded 26 saves across back-to-back victories over St. Thomas and Huston-Tillotson.
And there's a little context behind those numbers.
NAU's current website statistics don't yet include all of the Stallions' matches, while additional game statistics are recorded through the RRAC and USCAA Presto systems. The current NAU page, for example, lists Mkaba with 27 saves through three games, so his full-season total is higher once those additional matches are accounted for.
Big L is officially on the national radar.
And he's got plenty of season left to keep climbing.
