Women's Red River Athletic Conference Cross Country

Championships Recap – Women’s Division

Texarkana, Texas – October 31, 2025

The North American University Lady Stallions wrapped up their Cross Country season with a powerful showing at the Red River Athletic Conference Championships, led by two determined runners — #4424 Samantha Medina and #4428 Milca Ramirez — who both capped the season with personal bests.

Samantha Medina delivered an impressive finish, placing 15th overall out of 36 runners (15th among 32 female competitors) with a time of 26:52.74. Medina ran with steady control and rhythm, maintaining a 7:13 per mile pace and averaging 8.32 mph across the course. Her time placed her within 4 minutes and 58 seconds of the leader, reflecting not only endurance but the continuous improvement that has marked her season.

Meanwhile, Milca Ramirez continued her upward climb, finishing 24th overall out of 36 and 24th among 32 female runners with a time of 31:41.76. Ramirez's 8:30 per mile pace and 7.06 mph speed highlight her growth and determination throughout the year — a season defined by consistency, effort, and grit.

Head Track and Cross Country Coach and Athletic Director Coach Ken Apande commended both runners for their outstanding effort and their consistent drive for improvement:

"Week 11 is in the books. What a great way to end the CC season at the RRAC championships. Please make sure you congratulate Tyler, Milca, and Sam. They PRed this week. These 3 have PRed multiple times throughout the season and always gave their best."

Coach Apande also shared a message that reflects the Stallion standard of excellence both on and off the field:

"Please take this week to focus on your academics and study hall. Make sure to post your scientific lab notebooks. Let's have a great week!"

With Medina and Ramirez setting the pace for the Lady Stallions, the future of North American University Cross Country looks bright — blending athletic dedication with academic excellence.
