COACH BRYAN DOZE JR. SELECTED TO LEAD 2026 RED RIVER ALL-STARS ON EUROBASKET TOUR IN PORTUGAL
Written By Rev. Justin C. Jackson
Balancing the dual responsibilities of Head Men's Basketball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director, Coach Bryan Doze Jr. brings a visionary leadership style that is earning attention nationwide—and now, internationally.
Coach Doze has officially been selected to lead the 2026 Red River Athletic Conference All-Star Team, a premier group of senior athletes and top RRAC prospects who will showcase their talent overseas in the EuroBasket Ball Euro League Tour, taking place May 27–June 5, 2026, in Portugal. This trip is specificlly for seniors or student athletes who are out of eligibility from the RRAC.
This prestigious honor is more than just a coaching accolade—it's a reflection of a career built on purpose, development, and undeniable results.
"Balancing my role as a coach and administrator gives me a unique advantage—I see the challenges and opportunities firsthand, and I'm committed to bridging the gap between day-to-day athletics and long-term planning," said Coach Doze.
And the results speak volumes.
Under his guidance, North American University's Men's Basketball program has achieved remarkable success. The Stallions have produced two RRAC Offensive Players of the Week, two RRAC Defensive Players of the Week, two USCAA Players of the Week, and two RRAC Second Team All-Conference selections. His program has also earned two RRAC Champion of Character Awards, a testament to the values-driven culture he has created. In addition, Jamarric Hammond was named the 2024 NAU Male Athlete of the Year, spotlighting the top-tier talent coming out of NAU. Just as important, Coach Doze emphasizes excellence in the classroom, with the team holding an impressive 3.1 GPA.
Beyond awards and honors, Coach Doze's leadership has already propelled two players—Jalon Clark and Damione "DT" Thomas—into the professional ranks in the EuroLeague, further cementing NAU's reputation as a rising force on the international basketball stage.
"My philosophy is to develop players who excel both on and off the court," said Doze. "It's about teamwork, respect, and personal growth. Winning games is great, but building character and preparing these young men for life is what truly matters."
