From Service to Speed
What makes Scott's story unique is that he took a different path than most collegiate student-athletes. Rather than heading directly to college after high school, he chose to serve his country in the United States Army. That experience helped shape the leadership, discipline, and work ethic he now brings to the track.

Athletic Background
Scott's athletic career began in the Houston area, where he competed in football at:
- Klein Forest High School
- Cypress Springs High School
Playing primarily as a running back and wide receiver, Scott developed the speed, explosiveness, and competitive mentality that now translate well to sprinting events.

Verified Athletic Testing
During the ESPNHS Nike SPARQ Combine in Houston, Scott posted impressive athletic testing numbers:
- 40-Yard Dash: 4.76 seconds
- 20-Yard Shuttle: 4.29 seconds
- Vertical Jump: 31.6 inches
- Power Ball Toss: 30.5 feet
- SPARQ Rating: 77.04
Those measurements showcased the athletic ability that made him a versatile competitor and continue to highlight the physical tools he brings to the Stallions program.
A Leader Joins the Stallions
North American University Athletic Director Kenneth Apande believes Scott's impact will extend far beyond the stopwatch.
"Excited to welcome Andre to the Stallion Family!
Andre's commitment to our program is a tremendous addition. His military experience brings discipline, leadership, accountability, and a team-first mindset that will have an immediate impact on our culture. We are excited to see him lead by example and help elevate our program both on and off the track."

Scott is expected to contribute in multiple sprint events while strengthening NAU's relay depth. His versatility provides options across the sprint group and adds another experienced competitor to the program.
Beyond athletic performance, Scott's military background brings qualities that cannot be measured by a stopwatch. Leadership, accountability, resilience, and commitment are characteristics he developed through service and now carries into every training session and competition.

A Different Kind of Recruit
Every signing adds talent. Some signings add experience. Few add a life story like W. Andre Scott's.
Before pursuing collegiate track and field, Scott answered a higher call through military service. Now, he brings that same dedication to North American University as he begins the next chapter of his athletic and academic journey.
For the Stallions, the addition of W. Andre Scott is about more than speed—it's about adding a competitor whose character, leadership, and service reflect the values of the program.
With his experience, maturity, and determination, Scott is poised to make an immediate impact as North American University continues building a championship culture within its Track & Field program.
