STAFFORD, Texas — The pipeline of local talent to North American University continues to grow.
Fort Bend Marshall High School standout Jalen Miller has officially committed to continue his academic and athletic career at North American University, bringing elite sprint speed, relay experience, and tremendous upside to the Stallions Track & Field program.

A member of one of the state's most respected track programs, the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos, Miller has steadily developed into one of the top emerging athletes in the region. His combination of speed, versatility, and competitive experience makes him a valuable addition to a Stallion squad that continues to make strides on the conference and national stage.
Miller's senior campaign showcased his ability across multiple events, highlighted by a personal best of 21.89 seconds in the 200 meters at the UIL 5A Region III Championships and an impressive 49.54-second performance in the 400 meters. He also owns marks of 11.54 seconds in the 100 meters and 16.14 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles, demonstrating the type of versatility that coaches covet.
Perhaps even more impressive is the progression Miller has shown throughout his high school career. After opening his prep career with a 53.91 in the 400 meters, he steadily dropped time each season before breaking through with an outstanding 49.54, establishing himself as one of the area's premier quarter-milers.

"Jalen is exactly the kind of student-athlete we want representing North American University," said NAU Track & Field leadership. "He's a competitor, he's coachable, and he's shown tremendous growth throughout his high school career. We believe his best days are still ahead of him."
Beyond his individual accomplishments, Miller has been a key contributor to Fort Bend Marshall's powerful relay program. He has competed on relay units that posted a 1:26.92 team performance in the 4x200-meter relay, while also contributing to successful 4x400-meter squads against some of the toughest competition in Texas.
His arrival adds depth to an already exciting group of Stallion sprinters and hurdlers. Miller will have the opportunity to learn alongside established performers such as All-American hurdler Keqwon Palm, while joining a young and talented sprint group that continues to expand under the direction of North American University's coaching staff.

The commitment also reinforces NAU's growing reputation within Fort Bend County. By signing one of the area's top athletes, the Stallions continue their mission of providing local student-athletes with an opportunity to compete at a high level while remaining close to home.
For Miller, the decision represents the next step in a journey built on hard work, development, and consistency. For North American University, it represents another major addition to a program that continues to attract talented athletes from across Texas.
The Buffalo becomes a Stallion, and the future looks fast.
