The North American University Lady Stallions (9-8, 6-5) put on a commanding performance on January 4, 2025, defeating the Jarvis Christian Dawgs (2-9, 2-7) with a final score of 76-59 at the E.W. Rand Center. A balanced offensive attack, lockdown defense, and impressive performances from key players propelled the Lady Stallions to victory.

Game Summary

The Lady Stallions came out firing in the first quarter, outscoring Jarvis Christian 23-4. This dominant start set the tone for the game, and despite a stronger showing by the Dawgs in later quarters, the early deficit proved insurmountable.

North American University's tenacious defense forced 22 turnovers and held Jarvis Christian to just 25.3% shooting from the field. On the other side, the Lady Stallions shot a solid 40.5%, including an impressive 41.7% from beyond the arc, showcasing their offensive efficiency.

Key Players – North American University

• Elisa "Lady E" Peralta: The star guard/forward was nearly unstoppable, scoring 19 points on an efficient 8-11 shooting. She added 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals, delivering a well-rounded performance that anchored the Lady Stallions' offense.
• Maurdaisha Powell: Dominating the paint, Powell recorded a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Her physicality and presence on the boards were pivotal in both creating second-chance opportunities and limiting Jarvis Christian's offensive rebounds.
• Victoria "The Point Goddess" Moore: Coming off the bench, Moore provided a spark with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists. Her playmaking and scoring versatility were instrumental in maintaining the Lady Stallions' lead.
• Kayla Dickey: Dickey contributed valuable minutes, tallying 6 points and 8 rebounds, helping to secure the boards and provide defensive stops.

• Jacy Reese: Reese led the Dawgs with 14 points, including 3 three-pointers. Her sharpshooting kept Jarvis Christian within striking distance during the middle quarters.
• Yvonne Forman: Forman was a force in the post, scoring 11 points and grabbing 7 rebounds. She also added a block and a steal, showcasing her defensive capabilities.
• Raniya White: White contributed across the board with 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Her effort on both ends of the court was notable, despite the loss.
• Shamya Champ: Champ added 10 points, including 2 three-pointers, and hustled for 3 rebounds.
