STAFFORD, TX — Big news is echoing through the halls of North American University as Head Men's Basketball Coach Bryan Doze Jr. has officially been named Assistant Athletic Director. This appointment is more than a new title—it's a nod to dedication, vision, and the relentless drive Coach Doze brings every single day.
Coach Doze shared the following statement with the NAU community:
"When I first joined North American University as Head Coach for basketball, I was drawn by the university's mission and the potential I saw in our athletic program. I'm honored to now take on an expanded role as Assistant Athletic Director.
Grateful for Dr. Taban and Coach Apande leadership and the promotion means a lot for me.
My goal as Assistant Athletic Director is to help grow our athletic programs strategically—building competitive teams, investing in our facilities, and ensuring our student-athletes succeed both on and off the field."
"Balancing my role as a coach and administrator gives me a unique advantage—I see the challenges and opportunities firsthand, and I'm committed to bridging the gap between day-to-day athletics and long-term planning."

Coach Doze has already wasted no time putting NAU Basketball on the national radar. His leadership has helped deliver:

-
A Team GPA of 3.1
But beyond the wins and awards, Coach Doze's impact is grounded in purpose.
"My philosophy is to develop players who excel both on and off the court," said Doze. "It's about teamwork, respect, and personal growth. Winning games is great, but building character and preparing these young men for life is what truly matters."
He now stands at the intersection of athletic leadership and student development—taking the charge to build programs with excellence, integrity, and vision. Whether from the bench or the boardroom, Coach Bryan Doze Jr. is pushing Stallion Athletics forward.
