Accreditation Reaffirms NAU’s Commitment

Post Season Here We Come

Dear North American University Community,

NAU is proud to announce that the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) has officially renewed the University's institutional accreditation. This decision affirms NAU's ongoing dedication to providing high quality academic programs and upholding the highest standards of integrity and excellence.

The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) is a national accrediting agency, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, that accredits more than 650 private post-secondary institutions serving over 150,000 students. Founded in 1965 and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, ACCSC oversees schools offering non-degree programs as well as associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees with a focus on occupational, trade, and technical careers. Its mission is to ensure quality education that prepares students for success in the workforce.

ACCSC fulfills this mission through peer review, self-evaluation, accountability, and quality assurance, holding institutions to high standards of ethics and career relevance. Guided by core values such as integrity, accountability, continuous improvement, and a commitment to putting students first, ACCSC is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a reliable authority on educational quality. Its current term of recognition extends through 2026.

ACCSC confirmed that NAU met all required accrediting standards and approved the University's Criminal Justice (Bachelor of Science) and School Counseling Distance Education (Master of Education) programs as part of the renewal.

"This achievement reflects the hard work and passion of our faculty, staff, and students," said Dr. Taban, President of North American University. "Accreditation is a promise to our students that we are committed to delivering education that transforms lives."

NAU remains dedicated to continuous improvement and will continue working with ACCSC to maintain the highest quality educational experience for all students.
