BREAKING NEWS FROM THE STABLE!

Coach JaQuia White Named Director of Basketball Operations for Both Men's and Women's Programs at North American University

Reporting Live from The Stable

STAFFORD, TEXAS – In a move that signals a new era of excellence and execution, North American University has officially named Coach JaQuia White as Director of Basketball Operations for both the Men's and Women's Basketball Programs. Let that sink in... One of the brightest coaching minds in college hoops is now steering the operational ship for both squads.

And if you've been paying attention, this elevation is long overdue.

A native of Dallas, Texas, and a product of DeSoto High School, Coach White didn't just play the game—she lived it, she led it, and now she's building the future of it. From SMU, where she earned her degree and dominated as a four-year letter winner, to Oklahoma Christian University, where she secured her M.A. in Global Leadership—everything about her journey screams leader.

But let's talk receipts.

In just her first season (2023–2024) as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach here at North American University, she flipped the program like a switch, guiding the team to a 12-win improvement, a Top 4 RRAC finish, and helping Keiarra Rivers snag First Team All-RRAC honors. Not too shabby for a debut, huh?

And then came the encore...

In 2024–2025, the Lady Stallions stamped their name in history with a USCAA National Championship, anchored by not one, not two, but three USCAA All-Americans:  Elisa PeraltaVictoria MooreMaurdaisha Powell

Coach White didn't just coach winners—she developed champions.

Now, as Director of Basketball Operations, she will oversee the systems, structure, and strategic planning for both the Men's and Women's Programs, supporting coaches, streamlining game-day and travel logistics, enhancing recruiting operations, and ensuring the Stallion Way is done the right way—with class, with Christ, and with championship energy.

"This isn't just a promotion—it's a movement," said NAU Athletics Director Coach Kenneth Apande. "Coach White is the real deal. She brings elite energy, integrity, and insight to our programs. This is leadership in motion."

You can't talk about culture change in Stallion Nation without mentioning Coach JaQuia White. Her faith walks before her, her professionalism leads the pack, and her results speak volumes. So to every recruit, parent, fan, and basketball lifer reading this…

The Stallions just leveled up.

Let's give Coach White her flowers—and then get back to work. Because with her helping guide the direction of NAU hoops, we ain't done yet.

Congratulations, Coach White. Welcome to the front office.
